Shakeup at WMAR

The following two blurbs are from DCRTV.

First this was reported:

Silverstein Gone From 2 - 3/4 - The word is that there’s been a big shake-up at Baltimore’s Channel 2/WMAR. DCRTV’s hearing that News Director David Silverstein is on the outs. We’re told that WMAR General Manager Bill Hooper announced to staff Tuesday that Silverstein has “resigned”. But a WMAR source tells us: “He didn’t resign, he was fired. Just another bad news director in the long line of ineffective news directors at Channel 2.” WMAR remains at the bottom of the TV news ratings heap in Charm City…..

The latest update from DCRTV:

2ers Want Barth For ND Gig - 3/5 - DCRTV hears that there’s a “groundswell” movement afoot at Channel 2/WMAR to get former longtime reporter Andy Barth (left) considered for the news director job. As DCRTV told you, WMAR ND David Silverstein is no longer with the Scripps ABC affiliate. Barth left 2 a few years back in an unsuccessful run for US Congress as a Democrat in the Baltimore area. We hear that he’s now teaching in Mississippi but still maintains a home in Baltimore…..
