    Dear Inside Charm City:

I came across your website when looking for people writing about fun things to do in Baltimore…My name is Christina and I’m working with the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance to spread the word about the Baltimore Fun Guide (www.baltimorefunguide.com ) – a free weekly email which lists ½ priced tickets for concerts, sports, museums and more in the Baltimore- Metropolitan area.

I am reaching out to you because I believe Inside Charm City is the right place to connect with people interested in fun city life; plus this is a way to Support your Charm City.

We would truly appreciate if you could help us get the word out on your site by posting a link on your webpage or post our banner (which I can send to you). In return I would love link to you from our website ‘Sinuate Media’ (a new-media marketing firm in Baltimore) or give you free prizes.

The race is on and we have to get the word out about fun, cheap events in Baltimore! Plus, we have plenty of free event tickets & other gifts to give away for those who help spread the word! Check out the list of freebies here: http://www.sinuatemedia.com/baltimorefunguide.htm

    Warmly,
    Christina McJimpsey

    Good Evening,

My name is Gerald Abrams, and I am a senior business major at the University of Maryland. I am sending you this email to ask for your assistance in promoting the University of Maryland’s Collegiate Entrepreneurship organization’s 2nd annual entrepreneurship conference.

What: E- Generation an Entrepreneurship Conference focusing on today’s hot topics such as green Business.

When: April 19th, 2008 an all day event, from 9 am to 4 pm

Where: Universities of Maryland conference site
9630 Gudelsky Drive. Rockville, MD 20850

Who: Hosted by University of Maryland and Robert H. Smith School of Business

    Website: www.smithceoconference.com

This year’s conference will have a green focus and will feature world renowned futurist John Mahaffe, a consultant to our president on future trends and concepts. Last year our student run conference had 250 attendees and was a great learning experience for all who attended, this year we expect the same.

We are students, and fairly new to this process and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

As you may have heard, a new newspaper called b and its companion website, bthesite.com, launch Monday in Baltimore.

We think readers of bthesite would also be interested in reading your blog.

We’re already linking to your RSS feed on bthesite.com. Whenever you update your blog, we’ll publish a link back to it from our home page, usually within the hour. We’d also like to occasionally feature content from your blog and link back to it. In some cases, if you have a photo posted that illustrates your post well, we’d also like your permission to use that, with attribution, of course.

Our hope is that more readers discover your blog through our mentions of it on bthesite.com. At the same time, we hope you’ll also keep an eye on bthesite.com and feel free to pull any of our content to feature on your site as well.

I’m coming to Baltimore for a fundraiser and booksigning at the Towson Barnes & Noble. My new book, Motherhood to Otherhood, is a great mother’s day gift for yourself, your mother and other moms you know. And if you buy it in the towson store Sunday April 27, I’ll be there to sign it (2-3:30pm) and your purchase will make an automatic donation to Bread for Itipini - a very poor African town who needs our help. I hope Baltimore can come out to welcome me, try/buy my book and help Itipini at the Towson Barnes & Noble. I don’t know who else has baltimore lbogs or calendars of events but I wanted to put my two cents in here.

    Hey there,

My name is Matt Phillip and I work for a music marketing and management company based out of Chicago called Platform One Entertainment. We are working with a band, that you may or may not have heard of called Cold Taxi. They are from Baltimore, and could benefit from some local press to gain them some exposure. I am contacting you to see how I could send you all some tracks off of their latest release. At your earliest convenience I would appreciate an e-mail telling me how I can do this.

    Thank you!

    Matt

    Hi, Jeff,

Please find below the press release announcing the launch of Bukowski Public Relations. We specialize in small and growing businesses.

Bukowski Public Relations Offers Communications Solutions to
Growing Businesses in the Baltimore-Washington Metro Region

New Firm Specializes in Finance, Technology and Nonprofit Sectors

BALTIMORE – September 2, 2008 – Bukowski Public Relations, LLC, (BPR) specializing in supporting small and mid-sized businesses’ communications needs, today became the newest public relations firm in the Baltimore-Washington metro region.

With a special focus on organizations that recognize their need for public relations but have found larger agencies cost-prohibitive, BPR tailors its work to each client’s budget. As a full-service firm, however, BPR’s lower fees still deliver the highest public relations value possible. The firm’s capabilities include:

    • Media relations campaigns
    • Executive visibility programs
    • Crisis communications management
    • Media training
    • Web site assistance
    • Copywriting
    • Special event planning and execution
    • Spokesperson availability

“Whether clients need a long-term public relations plan or assistance with a one-time project, we provide results,” Jeffrey Bukowski, president of Bukowski Public Relations, said. “I consider good public relations an educational process – one in which target audiences are not ‘sold,’ but rather taught, the benefits of a given program, product or company. In addition, we provide clients with an educational foundation regarding public relations in order for them to better understand strategic thinking.”

Bukowski, an award-winning public relations specialist, created the new firm after 10 years of public relations experience in corporate, agency and nonprofit settings, where his clients regularly appeared in a wide variety of local and national media outlets, including:

    • CNBC
    • The Wall Street Journal
    • Reuters
    • The New York Times
    • The Washington Post
    • The Baltimore Sun
    • The Baltimore Business Journal
    • The Baltimore Examiner

While BPR’s capabilities can be employed for virtually any business or organization, its specialties include the finance, technology and nonprofit sectors.

“I’m very excited to have the opportunity to use the strategies and tactics that have led to success for larger organizations on behalf of clients who previously may not have had access to top-notch public relations counseling,” Bukowski said. “Launching Bukowski Public Relations begins a new chapter in Baltimore-Washington PR.”
