I hear that Renée Zellweger was spotted at Donna’s at Cross Keys over the weekend. She sat at the bar to eat her beet salad, and ordered a feta salad to go.

What I can’t figure out is why she ended up at that particular Donna’s. She can’t be staying at the Cross Keys hotel, can she? My One and Only, her movie, is being shot in and around Baltimore through July.

WBAL Radio has learned that former State Senator Tommy Bromwell is in Massachusetts today and will report to federal prison tomorrow.

Bromwell was sentenced back in November to seven years in prison after admitting to racketeering, conspiracy and filing a false tax return.

Sources say the 59-year-old will be serving his sentence at The Federal Medical Center Devens.

According to the Department of Justice, Devens is located about 40 miles outside Boston. The facility houses minimum security prisoners and those with long term medical conditions. A source tells WBAL Radio that Bromwell has a heart condition and that is why he is serving his sentence at that facility.

Devens is located on the former military base of Fort Devens.

Bromwell’s wife Mary Pat is serving her one year sentence at a prison in West Virginia. She scheduled to be released next January but will likely get out early because of good time credit.

Federal immigration officials have arrested 45 people in Anne Arundel County on illegal immigration charges.

County police chief James Teare says search warrants were executed at an Annapolis painting business and 15 homes where employees lived early Monday.

Teare says the immigrants worked as painters and are being detained by the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

County Executive John Leopold says 50 county police officers worked with 75 ICE officials in the investigation.

DCRTV first broke the story earlier today and it was later confirmed by WMAR that Scott Garceau is leaving as the station’s sports guy on newscasts. He will still be involved in lacrosse and other special events for the station. DCRTV also reports that Garceau, who is involved in Orioles and Ravens broadcasts, could end up at MASN, Comcast SportsNet or on sports talk radio.

Pressed for details, he would only say this much: “She was there. I just saw her.” Secret Service must have gotten to him.
